A True Story: Turning Adversity into a Fashion Forward Movement.
Share
My name is Travis Iverson.
After a freak diving accident at a friend’s cottage, my life changed forever. But instead of letting tragedy define me, I chose to embrace resilience, perseverance, and creativity—turning my new reality into a positive movement.
I am now a high-level quadriplegic fashion designer based in Canada, and I’ve founded a unique apparel line designed for everyone. My clothing isn’t just stylish—it’s functional. It accommodates a wide range of body types, whether you’re in a wheelchair, a war veteran with a missing limb, visually impaired, or an able-bodied person who simply values quality garments that make you look and feel amazing. And every piece gives back.
The Fight That Defined Me
Post-injury, my biggest battle was breathing independently from a ventilator. I underwent bronchoscopy procedures—one of the most painful medical experiences imaginable, performed fully awake, 1 to 3 times a day. In the first week alone, I endured 17 of them. But the inner strength I inherited from being a twin survivor carried me through, allowing me to reclaim my independence and keep fighting.
Building Something Bigger
Today, with 99% of the work completed, I’m focused on securing funding to bring my entire line to market. My goal is simple: help millions globally feel confident, stylish, and empowered—without ever compromising on quality or function.
