LOGO ORIGINS.
The goal was to create a logo with broad visual appeal—something instantly recognizable. Selected as a finalist out of 30 venture pitches at the Algonquin College Applied Research & Innovation project, the work involved collaborating with students on key business building blocks, including the logo, target market, and more. A list of ten elements guided the design. One concept featured a wheelchair in motion, a shoulder/arm in a pushing action, all encompassed by an infinity symbol. Today, the logo is still loved as much as the first time it was presented. The reactions on people’s faces say it all when they learn it represents a wheelchair on a mission to bring an accessible fashion brand to market—helping others in similar situations dress well with greater ease.
Why the Northern Red Cardinal
After the transition from rehabilitation to home, the Northern red cardinal became a constant presence. Its song was heard often, its vivid red seen in every season — a powerful reminder that even in the most difficult periods, life, beauty, and strength remain.
In those early days of rebuilding, the cardinal felt like a sign from those who were once close and had passed — a quiet reassurance to stay resilient and to trust that everything would be okay.
The colour red made it unmistakable. Bold. Confident. Impossible to ignore — a reflection of the energy and visibility behind IverFashion.
What made the connection even more meaningful was its call. When the sound faded, it could be brought back simply by mimicking its song — and within moments, the response would return. A dialogue. A presence. A reminder that you are never truly alone.
For these reasons, the cardinal was chosen as the brand’s defining symbol.
It represents:
- Resilience through transition
- Strength that is always seen and heard
- Guidance, connection, and continuity
- The courage to stand out in every season
At IverFashion, the Northern red cardinal is more than an emblem —it is the spirit of the brand.
