The design was created by Travis Iverson, a quadriplegic and wheelchair user, who drew it using only a stylus held in his mouth. His lived experience and determination are captured in every line of this meaningful piece.

Cardinals are beautiful birds that bring colour and life to our backyard even in the dreary days of winter. It’s only fitting that Travis has chosen the Cardinal as the symbol of hope and his message to never, ever give up. I have purchased several pins and have given them out to friends, inspiring everyone with his story of giving back and helping others. I wear my pin with pride, have had many compliments, and enjoy telling the story behind it.
